Our plants are designed for contract work, our people are trained for it, our systems are aligned with it. Almost everyone says they do it, but few can demonstrate that they have the culture to support it. Some are even confused as to whether they are product sellers or contractors - a trip around any exhibition will demonstrate this point.
More and more we are discussing integrated solutions with customers who come to discuss a reaction and then ask us to do the upstream and downstream steps as well.
